Macritchie
Solo Exhibiton
A solo exhibition about preservation, memory, and coming of age. It consists of 22 colourful screen prints in various sizes, exploring the playgrounds that surrounded me as a child in Singapore and Israel. The illustrations present the interactions of people from different ages with the playgrounds and the importance of those spaces to the community. Using oil pastels I drew the old and preserved mosaic playgrounds of Singapore designed in the 80s by Khor Ean Ghee, and compared them to the decaying and mostly demolished illustrative playgrounds from my home town in Karmiel, trying to raise questions on the importance of memory and tradition in those very different nations.
The exhibition was curated by Gilad Seliktar and presented at P8 Gallery in Tel-Aviv in November 2022
